The Best Christmas Party Activities
Yes, I know – the C word in August. It’s unthinkable isn’t it. Well, if you’re the one organising the work Christmas do then it needs to be on your radar as expectations are high and places are busy!
Being the person(s) organising the Christmas do can be stressful – especially as often you’re given unhelpful briefs from the top including the words, “original,”“bespoke”and “memorable.”
Where to start?! The best – in my opinion – idea is to get an outside events’ organiser (moi!) to do the graft for you. Someone like me will have the contacts, the insight and the know-how to deliver a hugely memorable event leaving you to enjoy (and take the credit!).
There is always a big demand for an activity-based Christmas party as this allows teams to interact, breaks the day up from a full-on drinking affair and allows for some memorable photos! But deciding on an activity that will appeal to everyone can be tough. But I’m here to help! Here are a few of my suggestions of the top London Christmas activities:
A Boat Party
Yes, I know it will be cold but there are some amazing boat parties sailing down London’s quirky canals equipped with festive music, food and drink. A good one to check out is Alfred Le Roy
Now I’m not talking about the 80s-type of darts here but the new generation of darts that combine a great game, a speedy computerised score board (thankfully) and a great atmosphere. Flight Club offers a brilliant few hours of fun.
But not as you know it. The London The Brunch Society offers an array of high-quality events including: hip hop brunch, disco brunch and gin and high tea. Great fun, really interactive and the food isn’t half bad.
Immersive Christmas Culinary Experience
I’m so excited about The Toy Factory in east London. Not only have they transformed The Hanger (a 6000 square foot canvas) into all things Christmas, but they are offering a unique menu from Moro’s Ellen Parr, in a space filled with elves, games, presents and loads of toys. Perfect for a big – and unique – office party.
Named the best pub this year by Design My Night, Aeronaut in Acton is certainly memorable. A good old boozer with a great array of ales by day but at night it transforms into an arena with circus acts, burlesque dancers, cabaret performers, fire eaters – and many more! If your team love a good pub but want something with a twist, this is definitely recommended.
A Debauched Dinner Party
The people behind the gorgeous Flat Iron Square in Southwark have renovated an old factory in the area and have transformed it into Christmess – Nicky’s Imaginarium. An underground hothouse boasting debauched dinner parties with table dancing and general merriment actively encouraged. Great for the teams who like to party!
No Christmas activity list would be complete without the mention of karaoke! Love it or hate it, it’s undeniably a great way to get the team together (whilst murdering a Beyonce number). For me, it has to be Lucky Voice but there are quite a few in London town to choose from.
Could I help you organise your Christmas party? I can host a session with you to brainstorm ideas and then hand it over or I can plan the whole thing!
Drop me a line and can’t wait to hear from you!
